Posting Break
It's been awhile since I had a meaningful post. The fall (and summer, really) has been a whirlwind. Somehow we are staring at Xmas in less than two weeks and it seems like we just put August in the books. This time of year is always busy with friends and family coming to town, the holidays, and all that goes with the holidays. I'm looking forward to enjoying a laid-back Xmas in Alaska. Kel and I are heading north for 6 days to see all the families. We'll enjoy a truly white Xmas before heading back to Denver to bring in the new year.
I always love bringing in a new year. I'm not a big resolution guy. You shouldn't only make positive changes in your life once a year if they're needed. But I am a dreamer and a pretty diligent planner so the new year always brings into sharp focus the plans, trips, and aspirations to be experienced and accomplished. 2007 is going to be EPIC.
So what's in store? Some plans are firm, some are up in the air, and some are just a gleam in my eye... ;) The shortlist...
San Diego
San Juan Islands
Vancouver/Whistler
Mexico or Puerto Rico
A trip back east
At the very least, planning for a monster 08 trip
Grad school
Leadville 100
Adventure Xstream Buena Vista Sprint
Teva Mountain Games
Muddy Buddy (the Redemption)
And a variety of weekend trips to satiate the soul...
